Drive-train torsional vibration suppression of large scale PMSG-based WECS

Abstract This paper provides a systematic analysis of the large scale PMSG (permanent magnet synchronous generator)-based WECS (wind energy conversion system) torsional vibration problem under MPPT (maximum power point tracking) control and constant control. is from perspective SSO (sub-synchronous oscillation), SSH harmonics) forced vibration. The cause negative total system damping, weakened by susceptible to inducing in grid current voltage under-damped condition. To effectively suppress PMSG-based WECS, stiffness compensation strategy based on adaptive damping proposed. results show that SSO, can be suppressed at source using proposed suppression strategy.
